Over the past week, cryptocurrency performances against the U.S. dollar have been lackluster. Yet, in the span of 90 days, various digital assets have seen significant upticks against the greenback. Notably, two meme coins, pepe (PEPE) and dogwifhat (WIF), have surged by 705% and 692.3% respectively over the past three months.

The recent surge in meme coins, including PEPE, WIF, and FLOKI, has dominated the gains in the cryptocurrency market over the past three months. FLOKI, for instance, emerged as the third biggest gainer during this period, soaring by 422.88% against the U.S. dollar. Other notable performers include Arweave's token AR, which rose by 336.2%, and the artificial intelligence-focused coin FET, which advanced by 223.1%. Additionally, shiba inu (SHIB) witnessed a 134.4% increase in the past 90 days.

Furthermore, over the last three months, render (RNDR) saw a rise of 119.4%, while NEAR experienced a 113.3% increase, making them the last among the eight to record triple-digit gains against the U.S. dollar. Double-digit increases were also observed in tokens like THETA (+84.3%), BNB (+82.1%), FTM (+76.6%), DOGE (+72.9%), GRT (+60%), and BCH (+59.5%).

Other cryptocurrencies such as MNT, LEO, CRO, HBAR, MKR, SOL, and BTC saw gains ranging from 23% to 46%. This flurry of activity over the past 90 days in the crypto market highlights the dynamic nature of the landscape, where meme coins and specialized tokens have shown explosive growth. While such surges are extraordinary and not reflective of typical market behavior, they underscore how trends and technological advancements, such as decentralized storage and AI, can swiftly influence fortunes in the crypto space.
