ARAX has partnered with the Municipality of Tuzla, Romania, to launch a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) project, aiming to transform Tuzla into a smart urban hub. Utilizing ARAX’s blockchain, IoT, and AI technologies, the project will implement intelligent streetlights and other smart city solutions.

The project will unfold in three phases:

1. Planning and Feasibility Studies: This initial phase involves engaging stakeholders, assessing needs, and conducting technical and financial feasibility studies to ensure alignment with community needs and project viability.

2. Pilot Deployment: Renewable energy-powered streetlights with vertical-axis wind turbines, solar panels, and hybrid inverters will be deployed. These streetlights will connect through the Lunaº Mesh network, providing robust IoT connectivity via microwave radio bridges, WiFi access points, and LPWAN gateways. ARAX’s Blockchain-as-a-Platform (BaaP) will be used for secure, decentralized operations.

3. Expansion and Integration: The final phase will scale the network of intelligent streetlights across Tuzla and integrate additional smart city solutions, such as smart parking, waste management, and public Wi-Fi. Collaboration with local authorities will be crucial for integrating these technologies into public services, enhancing urban efficiency.

The project relies on strong private-public partnerships, involving ARAX, the municipality, and the public, to share resources, knowledge, and responsibilities. This shared economy model incentivizes community engagement and ensures equitable economic benefits.

ARAX’s decentralized tech is crucial for secure token/coin underwriting, liquidity, and governance in various blockchain-based solutions. The DePIN project in Tuzla aims to set a benchmark for smart cities, emphasizing sustainability, efficiency, and community involvement, with the collaboration between ARAX and Tuzla's municipality being key to its success.
