ARAX has announced a partnership with the Municipality of Tuzla, Romania, to launch a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) project, transforming the city into a smart urban hub using blockchain, IoT, and AI technologies.

The project will unfold in three phases. The first phase involves planning and feasibility studies, including stakeholder engagement, needs assessment, and technical and financial analyses.

The second phase will pilot renewable energy-powered streetlights equipped with wind turbines, solar panels, and hybrid inverters, all connected via the Lunaº Mesh network. This network will use ARAX’s Blockchain-as-a-Platform (BaaP) for secure, decentralized operations, integrating joint mining, decentralized storage, and CorePass digital identity for secure data handling. The Lunaº Mesh network’s decentralized topology enhances communication reliability and security, enabling real-time data streaming and monitoring through its Smart Asset Monitoring System (SAMS).

In the third phase, the network of smart streetlights will expand across Tuzla, incorporating additional smart city solutions like smart parking, waste management, and public Wi-Fi. Collaboration with local authorities will integrate these technologies into public services, improving urban efficiency and responsiveness.

The project's success relies on strong private-public partnerships, uniting ARAX, the municipality, and the public. This collaboration encourages community engagement and equitable economic benefits through a shared economy model.

Core Blockchain's decentralized technology underpins the DePIN project, offering secure token/coin underwriting, liquidity, and governance features for stable and secure blockchain-based solutions.
