Ripple had announced its intention to launch this stablecoin a month ago as a means to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the world of cryptocurrencies.

The launch date of the stablecoin is still unknown, but Ripple's CTO recently mentioned that there will be updates coming in June, including the announcement of the stablecoin's name. This conflict between Ripple and the SEC is not new, as they have been entangled in a legal battle since December 2020 when the SEC accused the company of conducting an unauthorized security offering by selling XRP worth over $1.3 billion.
