Hong Kong's three spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds experienced an outflow of 25.63 BTC on Thursday, with no flows reported for the spot ether ETFs in the region.

The outflow in spot bitcoin ETFs was solely from China Asset Management's product, which saw 25.63 BTC leaving the fund, according to SosoValue data. As of Thursday, the total net assets of the three spot bitcoin ETFs stood at $254.74 million.

On the other hand, the three spot ether ETFs in the city reported no flows on Thursday, following a net inflow of 62.8 ETH on Wednesday. These three products had a combined total net asset value of $50.83 million as of Thursday.

In contrast, the United States saw the 11 spot bitcoin ETFs registering their ninth consecutive day of inflows on Thursday, attracting $107.91 million.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved 19b-4 forms for eight spot Ethereum ETFs on Thursday amid evolving political dynamics among lawmakers.

Justin d'Anethan, head of APAC business development at crypto market maker Keyrock, noted, "The ETH spot ETF in Hong Kong is about 15% of the total local spot ETF AUM (the rest being allocated to BTC), and so one might expect a similar ratio in the US or abroad. This is probably due to the fact that, so far, no staking reward is offered, and so the spot ETH ETFs are essentially an inferior investment product relative to native tokens."

At the time of publication, Bitcoin was down 3% over the past 24 hours at $67,254, while Ether saw a slight decrease of 0.51% trading at $3,746.
