Such approval would legitimize altcoins and boost the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector more significantly than Bitcoin ETFs did for Bitcoin.

Layer-2 Ethereum solutions like Optimism and Arbitrum, as well as DeFi platforms like Uniswap and Aave, saw significant price increases, benefiting from Ethereum's rally. Ethereum-compatible projects and blockchains, such as Avalanche and Polygon, are positioned to do well, whereas non-EVM compatible projects like Algorand may not benefit as much.
