TON Society, in collaboration with AI firm HumanCode, is set to introduce an innovative identity verification solution.

As per the latest announcement from TON Society, a significant allocation of 1 million TON tokens, valued at nearly $5.9 million, has been earmarked for this initiative as an incentive for users to complete the verification process. These funds will be distributed among TON Society members who undergo identity confirmation via palm print recognition. Participation in the community is open to all, with individuals able to join by linking their wallet.

HumanCode's advanced palm scanning technology is poised to offer a swift and highly accurate method for verifying real individuals, aiming to address the escalating issue of bot interference and usher in a new era of web3 identity authentication within the Telegram ecosystem.

"Our palm scanning technology, compatible with smartphones and web browsers, ensures inclusivity by recognizing all skin tones, thereby providing a sophisticated proof-of-human system accessible to all," stated the TON Society team.

The value of the Toncoin (TON) token surged by 10.5%, reaching a milestone high of $5.90, resulting in a market capitalization of $20.2 billion.

Moreover, TON developers recently announced the distribution of 30 million TON tokens to incentivize user engagement in ecosystem projects, with the distribution process commencing on April 1.

A comparable technology for personal identification was previously introduced by Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project utilizing iris scanning for token distribution. However, since its launch in July 2023, the project has faced scrutiny and investigations in several countries, including Germany, France, the U.K., and Kenya, over concerns regarding the collection of user biometric data.
