Despite this, several other top cryptocurrencies showed modest gains, contributing to a slight increase in the global cryptocurrency market capitalization, which closed the week at $2.54 trillion.

Here's a closer look at the top cryptocurrencies to watch this week based on their notable performances:

TON Surges to New All-Time Highs:
Toncoin (TON) showcased significant price action last week, starting strong with an impressive 8.6% increase on June 2. This momentum propelled the Telegram-based asset to close above $6.8 for the first time in three weeks.

The bullish trend continued, culminating in a new all-time high of $7.86 on June 5, surpassing the previous ATH of $7.67 in April. However, despite experiencing notable declines afterward, TON closed the week with an overall 11% increase.

However, there was a drop in Toncoin's on-balance volume (OBV) throughout the week, indicating potential weakness in sustaining the uptrend into the new week. Should a correction occur, TON's immediate resistance is around the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $6.969.

ADA Retests Key Levels:
Cardano (ADA) struggled around the $0.40 territory over the past weeks, with last week being no exception. Despite minor gains on June 3 and 4, ADA faced resistance.

On June 7, a spike in BTC's price led ADA to retest the $0.49 level for the first time in over two weeks. However, a subsequent correction resulted in a 3% loss by the end of the week.
