The 24-hour trading volume of Tether (USDT) on Tron has skyrocketed to over $53 billion, accompanied by a substantial jump in the number of transfers to over 2.18 million and the number of holders to over 45.32 million. This trend has been consistent over the past few months, with the number of USDT holders increasing significantly since 2020.

The volume of USDT traded on Tron has surpassed that of Visa and Mastercard, the world's largest payment processing companies. This is a testament to Tron's growing influence in the crypto industry, as Tether is the most widely used stablecoin. Data from DeFi Llama reveals that the volume of stablecoins on Tether has reached over $58 billion, accounting for 51% of the total Tether supply.

Despite Tether's recent growth slowdown, it remains a highly popular stablecoin. For instance, USDT has become more popular than Bitcoin in Latin America. Additionally, Tron's DeFi ecosystem has seen a significant increase in the total value locked (TVL) to over $8.13 billion, with most of it concentrated in JustLend, JustStables, and SUN.

Tron has also emerged as the second most profitable player in the crypto industry, with revenue exceeding $735 million this year, second only to Ethereum. However, the network faces potential challenges. In 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged Justin Sun and others for fraud and securities violations, leaving the impact of the lawsuit uncertain.
