Bitcoin Ordinals could experience heightened activity with the upcoming launch of a set of Trump Digital Trading Cards. Despite recent declines in daily registrations, these NFTs featuring the former US President could reignite interest, leading to significant transaction volumes.

The Trump Digital Trading Cards, set to be minted on Bitcoin Ordinals, will comprise 200 unique items, tapping into the growing popularity of this form of registration. Upon their initial release, these cards garnered mixed reactions from the cryptocurrency community. However, the collection generated substantial interest, resulting in impressive sales figures.

According to data from Crypto Slam, the cards achieved sales of approximately $171,000 on the first day of launch. Sales surged to over $2 million the following day and surpassed $3.5 million by December 17, 2022. Following this peak, there has been a noticeable decline in both sales and buzz.

Bitcoin Ordinals registration trends have shown a decrease in recent days, with sporadic peaks failing to be sustained. While registrations initially exceeded 400,000 on January 13th and 14th, they have since remained below that threshold, currently hovering around 150,000.

Despite this recent trend, the impending release of the Trump Digital Trading card collection on the Bitcoin Ordinals platform is expected to prompt an increase in daily registrations, at least temporarily. This anticipation is based on the reaction to the collection's debut in 2022, suggesting that any such surge could impact not only transaction prices but also overall Bitcoin network activity.
