Snapshot has partnered with UMA Protocol to introduce a new feature called oSnap (Optimistic Snapshot Executive). This allows decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) to propose transactions, submit on-chain data, and participate in off-chain governance voting processes.

With oSnap, DAO token holders no longer need to rely on specific signatories to execute decisions. They can integrate oSnap with their existing Snapshot and Safe multi-sig wallets.

The process involves deploying the oSnap module, setting parameters, creating a Snapshot proposal which needs to pass before executing transactions or disputing results and calling for a re-vote if needed.

Audited by OpenZeppelin, oSnap's optimistic governance allows token holders to bypass reliance on team multi-sigs by having UMA's oracle optimistically verify Snapshot's voting results. Any disputes can be resolved through game theory incentives leveraging the Safe Wallet for autonomous execution.

This UMA-Snapshot collaboration enables trustless, decentralized, and efficient decision-making coordination for DAOs.

The announcement positively impacted UMA's native token price, which traded around $1.63. Price predictions estimate UMA could reach $4.75 by year-end 2023 and sustain around that level in 2024.

Snapshot assured that despite this partnership, its services will remain free, programmable and fast, maintaining its unique offering.

Separately, Snapshot announced an "Integrators Week" to explore favorite plugins, specifically the POAP (Proof-of-Attendance Protocol) Plugin that allows rewarding voters with on-chain NFT badges.
