Binance Labs, the investment arm of the Binance cryptocurrency platform, has emerged as the top player in Launchpool projects, surpassing other major venture capital firms.

A recent report by Root Data Labs, a platform for Web3.0 asset information, analyzed data from 30 Binance Launchpool projects since November 2021. The report identified 288 institutional and individual investors participating in these projects.

According to Root Data Labs, Binance Labs led the pack with investments in 21 projects, involving 190 portfolios, achieving an 11.05% success rate for Launchpool projects.

While other firms like OKX Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Dragonfly, Polychain Capital, and g scott russ have invested in about five Launchpool projects each, Binance Labs invested in only two out of eight recent projects. This shift suggests a move towards greater fairness within Launchpool.

The average success rate among the 288 investors was less than 2%. However, Gemini’s Frontier Fund, Draper Dragon, LightSpeed, and Folius Venture boasted success rates exceeding 5%.

Individual investors like Synthetix founder Kin Warwick and EthHub co-founder Anthony Sassal achieved commendable success rates of 8.77% and 8.57%, respectively.

Interestingly, only three investment portfolios from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) made it to the Binance list, signaling a potential focus on different sectors like crypto, food, and beauty.

Binance Labs continues its dominance with the announcement of its 53rd Launchpool project, Renzo (EZ), set to launch on April 30, 2024. Previous projects include Omni Network (OMNI) and Saga (SAGA), showcasing Binance's stronghold in the Launchpool ecosystem.
