In a move to comply with the upcoming Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation in the European Union, Uphold, a prominent New York-based crypto exchange, has announced the delisting of six stablecoins, including Tether (USDT), the largest stablecoin by market capitalization. This decision aligns with the MiCA regulation, which comes into full effect on June 30th, 2024, and requires all digital assets to adhere to its comprehensive regulations.

The delisting of USDT raises concerns about its future in the region, as it is one of the most widely used stablecoins in the crypto market.
