Privacy-oriented Web3 platforms Secret Network and Akash disclosed that they have worked together with a US Department of Defence (DOD) branch. These organisations have united to form a DOD unit.

Greg Osuri, the founder of Akash, shared a post stating that the partnership had begun in July. In particular, community leaders from Secret Network and Akash took part in the DOD's BRAVO Hackathon, which took place from July 18 to 22.

The aforementioned Web3 platforms created an application that utilised the dubbed Secret Smart Contract and took home prizes from the hackathon.

The application took home two prizes: one for "Most Tactically Relevant for Cyber Operations," and another for "Most Tactically Relevant for Maintenance Data." It was housed at the A29 Tech Innovation Office, but it will probably relocate—perhaps to the NSA.

The thread also said that the Akash and Secret Network teams presented the app to Lt. Gen. Russ Mack, Deputy Commander for HQ Air Command Unit.

Alongside the app, the collaborators also built a website for a DOD unit. However, other details were not disclosed yet.

What is more, the award-winning application will be unveiled by none other than the headquarters of the DOD — The Pentagon.

As per an Akash validator and auditor, The Pentagon will publish an article that will provide an in-depth specification of the application in the coming months.
