Spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the U.S. saw a resurgence in investor interest on Tuesday, attracting a total of $31 million in net inflows. This positive trend marks a reversal from seven consecutive days of net outflows across the 11 bitcoin funds tracked.

Leading the pack in net inflows was Fidelity’s FBTC, which recorded $49 million, followed by Bitwise’s BITB with $15 million, according to data from SoSoValue. VanEck’s HODL also contributed with $4 million in net inflows. In contrast, Grayscale’s GBTC experienced net outflows totaling $30.3 million, while Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB reported $6 million in net outflows.

Notably, BlackRock’s IBIT, despite boasting a substantial daily trade volume of $1.1 billion on Tuesday, saw no net flows. Similarly, other funds such as those from Invesco, Galaxy Digital, Valkyrie, and Franklin Templeton also reported zero flows on the day.

Since their launch in January, the 11 spot bitcoin funds have collectively attracted significant investor attention, amassing a total net inflow of $14.42 billion as of Tuesday. This robust inflow underscores growing investor confidence and interest in bitcoin as a regulated investment vehicle in the U.S. market.

Looking ahead, U.S. issuers are actively preparing to introduce spot ether ETFs following preliminary approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last month. Recent filings of amended S-1 registration statements indicate progress towards potential launches. Senior Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas has projected that spot Ethereum ETFs could debut as early as next week, anticipating substantial investor demand.

Matt Hougan, Chief Information Officer at Bitwise, commented optimistically on the potential for spot ether ETFs, suggesting they could attract as much as $15 billion in net inflows within the first 18 months post-launch. This forecast reflects the market's anticipation of broadened access and institutional participation in Ethereum-based investment products, signaling a pivotal moment for the crypto ETF landscape in the United States.
