VanEck has halted USD multi-currency trading for a selection of Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), including VDOT, VBTC, VETH, and VSOL. Although these products are not listed for trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange, they remain available for purchase in USD and EUR on Euronext Amsterdam, Xetra, and Euronext Paris, respectively.

The cessation of trading activity does not impact its availability in CHF on the SIX Swiss Exchange, which remains unchanged. This change became effective on December 11, 2023, after the close of trading.

VanEck, currently under the leadership of CEO Jan van Eck, emphasizes the importance of embracing innovation rather than adhering to convention. The company aims to provide investors with opportunities to enhance their portfolios through forward-thinking and intelligent strategies.

As of September 30, 2023, VanEck manages assets under management (AUM) valued at $76.4 billion. In addition to ETPs, the company offers ETFs, mutual funds, UCITS Funds, and institutional funds, catering to clients across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Australia.

VanEck's workforce includes 377 full-time employees, 64 investment professionals, boasting an average of 25 years of portfolio manager experience. The company engages in various market segments, such as tax information, income investing, and digital assets like Bitcoin.

While the announcement was made in mid-December of the previous year, it had no discernible impact on the market prices of tokens. For instance, BTC saw a 9.90% increase in the last 30 days, hovering around $46k, while ETH rose by 17.655% to $2,616.27. SOL experienced a significant surge of 49.49%, trading at $98.31, with expectations to surpass the $100 mark soon.

The recent surge is attributed to speculation surrounding Bitcoin ETF approval, following the SEC's approval of applications. Although there was a setback in early January 2024, the market has since recovered. Reports suggested that Bitcoin ETF applications might be rejected due to non-compliance with specific requirements.
