The Bitcoin whitepaper has triumphantly returned to the Bitcoin.org website, signaling the conclusion of the legal battle involving Craig Wright, who falsely claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

In 2021, Wright's legal actions led to the removal of the PDF version of the whitepaper from the website following a copyright infringement lawsuit against Cøbra, the anonymous entity behind Bitcoin.org. However, Wright's claims of being Satoshi and the author of the whitepaper were thoroughly discredited, undermining his victory in the legal dispute.

The reintegration of the Bitcoin whitepaper was announced by Bitcoin.org administrator Hennadii Stepanov, who shared a link to the reinstated PDF document on a prominent platform.

Legal actions instigated by Wright compelled Cøbra to engage in court proceedings, threatening to unveil their identity. Despite Cøbra's absence from these hearings, resulting in a default win for Wright, Cøbra was mandated to pay £35,000 ($40,100) towards Wright's legal expenses.

Following the legal ordeal, Bitcoin.org had ceased offering the Bitcoin whitepaper to users in the UK. Nevertheless, various entities united to republish the whitepaper in a collective demonstration of support. Square's cryptocurrency division, led by Jack Dorsey, along with governments like the United States, Estonia, and Colombia, took a stand by sharing the document on their respective platforms.
