Six prominent investors, commonly known as whales, have amassed a total of 55.26 million CRV, roughly equating to $19.4 million, during the price dip that followed the liquidation crisis. Interestingly, five of these whales are new to CRV, indicating a recent increase in first-time investments in the token over the past week.

This influx of new investors has had a marked impact on the CRV token's price, which has increased by 12% in the last 24 hours. This recovery brings the token’s value close to its level before the liquidation, with a modest 1% rise in trading volume accompanying this price boost.

Previously, Arkham Intelligence had issued warnings about the risks to Egorov’s CRV positions, which were worth $140 million across five different protocols. Egorov’s borrowing, especially on platforms like Llamalend, where his $50 million in crvUSD loans incurred around 120% APY, posed significant risks due to the limited remaining crvUSD available for borrowing against CRV.

Egorov has expressed his appreciation for Curve Finance’s soft liquidation mechanism, which he praised for effectively managing liquidations without resulting in bad debts.
