It is the holiday season, and we all know it's characterized by fun activities, celebrations, and events. One event you can't afford to miss is the upcoming Web 3.0 Fest hosted by the Web3 Tribe. The entire Web3 community in Jos is bubbling with excitement for this one-of-a-kind edition. In a recent chat with Dinfa, the founder of the Web3 Tribe, we explored the details about the upcoming event and why all crypto enthusiasts should be there. Let's dive in!

What is Web3.0 Fest?

Web3 Fest is a community gathering of crypto-minded people and Web3 enthusiasts to interact, have fun, share knowledge, and onboard new people to the blockchain space.

This event will be the first of its kind in Jos. It's also one of the highly anticipated tech events in Plateau State during this festive period.

Jos is one of the most progressive states in the North Central region of Nigeria in terms of innovative technological creations and blockchain awareness. In July, a similar event was hosted by the Cassava Network to promote the Cassava brand, and I had the privilege of attending. The experience was amazing. The difference with this program is that it is not organized by a single entity; instead, it is powered by different Web3 networks and tech institutes, such as Egon Network, PiBridge, Blue House, and, of course, Web3 Tribe.

During the interview, Dinfa spoke about why this event is needed here in Nigeria. He said,

"A lot of people have heard about blockchain, especially Bitcoin; they're interested but don't know how to go about it. So, with Web3 Fest, we are trying to build a community of people who are interested, including those already in tech but not yet Web3 oriented. We want to bring everybody together to learn, network, and have fun at the same time."

The theme of the program is: "HARNESSING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY & AI IN TECH FOR EXPLOSIVE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT." With this theme, attendees are expected to learn more about AI in tech, the Web3 space, and how they can become part of the community.

The Web3 Fest will comprise the following:

NFT Exhibition: During the event, NFT artists will have the opportunity to display their digital art.

Sip n Paint: Attendees, especially artists, will have the chance to showcase their talents on Canva. Early birds might win a free ticket for the Sip n Paint section.

Panel Discussion: Educative topics related to the theme will be discussed, and questions will be accepted from the attendees.

Quiz: This will be a giveaway section where participants will be asked different questions. Those who answer perfectly will be rewarded.

Networking: Networking is crucial, especially in the business world and Crypto space. Crypto newbies, enthusiasts, and OGs will interact, share insights, and mingle.

Item 7: What's a Nigerian event without food? There will be something to munch on for everybody, so you don't have to worry about being hungry.

Speaking more about the Sip n Paint, Dinfa mentioned,

"We are using the Sip n Paint as a way to attract artists, educate them, and onboard them to our community."

I honestly can't wait for this event! Blockchain is an incredibly innovative and expansive technology that will significantly improve people's lives, especially in Africa, given enough knowledge, technical know-how, and if we leverage opportunities like this. The Web3 Tribe is doing an amazing job in fostering widespread crypto knowledge in Nigeria, and Jos is fortunate to host this event.
