ADA was the 10th of the top 10 cryptocurrencies until recently overtaken by Tron. Will ADA re-claim this position this August? Maybe not so fast.

Tron has sucked in liquidity to its network since the launch of its Meme Fairlaunch platform, SunPump. Tron has since recorded high 24hrs transaction volumes and high daily revenues due to spontaneous demand and utility of the network’s token, TRX, on the meme launcher.

For instance, more than 18,404 tokens have been created on the Tron network in 12 days since the launch of Sunpump. It has since generated approximately 71 million TRX in revenue, which is about $1.12 million. Interestingly, more tokens are being created daily on the meme coin launcher, grossly generating revenue and further boosting the transaction volume of Tron’s token TRX.

On the flip side, for ADA, the market has not been very active. The price action for ADA is largely influenced by the general sentiment surrounding the cryptomarket, in addition to the global macroeconomics. ADA has only seen a 44% surge in price since 2024, which is low compared to TRX’s 108%.

Moreover, from the Chart above, Tron has recorded a very high money flow index, high on balance volume and significant uptrend. Tron had earlier received liquidity funding of $10 million from its founder, Justin Sun from his Meme Ecosystem-Boost Incentive Program. Thus, improving scalability, money flow and liquidity on the Tron network.

To re-claim its position among the top 10 cryptocurrencies, ADA has to outperform Tron in trading volume and market cap; but Tron is already topping the chart and the dust may nor clear off any sooner. The market sentiments surrounding the scalability on the Tron network recently can sustain its dominance over ADA till the end of August.
