Moved by her grandson's distress, his grandmother extended a lifeline, alleviating some of his debt and extracting a promise from him to refrain from further risky investments. Yet, suspicions arose when Yves was spotted leaving a bank with a large envelope soon after.

Yves' fascination with cryptocurrencies began innocently enough in 2013 when he purchased his first Bitcoin at 120 francs, eventually stumbling upon an arbitrage strategy yielding impressive monthly returns. With the market surge, Yves finally found financial stability, honoring his promise to his grandmother by investing only his own funds. Cashing out a portion of his earnings, he paid off his debts and indulged in long-awaited luxuries, including purchasing a Lotus and rare collectibles.
