The decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Zaros is set to revolutionize the trading experience by providing a decentralized exchange (DEX) that rivals the convenience and variety of centralized exchanges (CEXs). This ambitious goal addresses the significant challenges that have hindered the widespread adoption of DEXs, such as limited liquidity, high fees, and complex interfaces.

Despite DEXs surpassing $1 trillion in transaction volume over the past year, they face obstacles like fewer market participants compared to CEXs, resulting in price slippage on large trades. Liquidity is often fragmented across multiple platforms, complicating the search for the best prices. Additionally, network congestion can lead to higher transaction fees, and most decentralized platforms lack the user-friendly interfaces that CEXs offer.

Zaros aims to tackle these issues head-on. It offers trading of perpetual futures—financial contracts with no expiration date and up to 100x leverage. Liquidity providers can earn extra rewards through liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and liquid restaking tokens (LRTs). LSTs are tokens received in exchange for staking assets, which can be traded or used elsewhere, while LRTs add another layer of staking to earn additional rewards.

The platform leverages advanced technology to enhance the trading experience. It offers up to 100x leverage on Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer-2 solution known for fast transactions and low fees, and is set to be available on Monad, a layer-1 blockchain noted for its rapid processing and high throughput. Zaros also enables traders to deposit a wide range of assets from Arbitrum and Monad as collateral, ensuring a seamless cross-margin trading experience.

To make the platform more accessible, Zaros supports social integration, allowing users to log in using Apple ID or Gmail. A sub-account system enables users to implement different margin strategies simultaneously. The platform manages trading with specific limits called skew caps and open interest caps, which result in higher total value locked (TVL). These features allow users to experiment with different trading alternatives, including memecoins.

Zaros offers liquidity providers real returns in ETH from trading fees through single-sided liquidity pools in its ZLP Vaults, which support LSTs like Lido and LRTs like EigenLayer. These vaults are pegged to underlying assets such as wrapped staked Ether (wstETH) and wrapped Ether (weETH), providing an additional yield layer. Additionally, Zaros has introduced an over-collateralized stablecoin, USDz, that is created only when paying traders' gains, ensuring reliability.

As a participant in the Cointelegraph Accelerator, Zaros invites users to join its governance as early adopters. Since launching its testnet on February 28, Zaros has attracted over 3,000 users. Key milestones include a token generation event and a listing on MEXC. With partnerships including EtherFi, Redacted Cartel, and Yield Nest, Zaros is expanding its presence in the DeFi ecosystem.

The DeFi space has the potential to capture a significant share of the market currently dominated by centralized services. For this vision to become a reality, DeFi platforms must improve the user experience and ensure equity in existing products.
