Zeek, a pioneering decentralized collaboration network focused on on-chain social bounties and reputation, has successfully secured $3 million in seed funding in anticipation of its official launch in July.

The funding round attracted a diverse group of investors, including OKX Ventures, which invested as part of its strategic commitment to Everest Venture Group’s consumer-centric products, such as Zeek. Other notable investors include Animoca Brands, Mask Network, Arche Fund, Summer Ventures, Blockchain Coinvestors, Aspen Digital, CatcherVC, Panony, Spacebar, Hardbank, and influential angel investors like Jason Kam of Folius Ventures, Ivan Li of Comma3 Ventures, and Donny Chi of WeMade.

Powered by the OpenSocial Protocol, Zeek enables users to unlock the value of their intelligence, networks, access, and time via on-chain social bounty mechanics known as Wishes and Rizz. Users generate social value by creating and participating in Wishes, which serve various purposes such as seeking information or expanding networks. Contributions and engagements within the network earn users Rizz, a representation of their social reputation, which acts as on-chain recognition of the value they create.

Rizz embodies the concept of karma, where users are rewarded economically and with measurable influence for their contributions. Zeek’s platform and token are designed to foster collaboration and the development of on-chain reputation, allowing users to assess the reliability of others based on their built reputation, thereby establishing a new trust paradigm in the Web3 ecosystem.
