On May 9, they identified a fault that caused a node to return a null value instead of its RLP, following a possible invalid database lookup.

To fix the issue, the team created internal test networks to reproduce the problem and test potential solutions before deploying them to the testnet and mainnet. They also deployed a network upgrade, Zilliqa version 9.3.4, which included improvements related to EVM compatibility. The team apologized to users and the Zilliqa community for the inconvenience caused and thanked them for their patience and support during the resolution process.

Despite the fix and upgrade, the Zilliqa mainnet experienced another disruption on May 9, which affected block production. However, the team enhanced their debugging processes to better diagnose the problem and resolve the underlying cause of the disruption.
