The team has reopened the proposal in June 2023 to ensure enough voices are heard before implementation. The goal is to enhance the decision-making process and streamline the governance structure.

The proposal covers implementing a new smart contract that allows gZIL holders to delegate their voting power to a trusted third party. This way, even if holders cannot participate directly, someone will vote on their behalf, ensuring all voices contribute to the network's growth.

The proposed smart contract will record a non-binding mapping of wallet addresses and the number of gZIL delegated, with precise decimal place accuracy. Modifications to the Snapshot Protocol will capture how this new smart contract functions during voting to ensure all votes are counted correctly.

All gZIL holders, regardless of their holdings, will have access to the proposal. This has prompted optimistic Zilliqa (ZIL) price predictions, with estimates suggesting it could reach $0.0590 by year-end, up from the current $0.0167. The development aligns with Zilliqa's vision of building a flexible, efficient, and faster network for future advancements.

Zilliqa has also teased Zilliqa 2.0, confirming its commitment to creating a low-carbon-emission network without compromising security or sustainability, while aiming to reduce the cost of running a node.
